Example of Application: Oven and EV Charger connected to simpleSwitch 240
- When you turn on your oven, your car charger will be paused. When your oven is turned off, after a programmed delay of a few minutes, your car charging will resume.
Device Functionality:
- The simpleSwitch 240 works by constantly sensing energy consumption from the priority device. When there is a call for power from the priority device, the simpleSwitch 240 will switch off the appliance that is connected as the secondary device.
- The simpleSwitch 240 will always supply a small amount of uninterrupted power to the priority appliance (approximately 250 watts) to keep clocks and electronics powered. The secondary appliance only has power supplied when the priority appliance is not in use (drawing less than 250 watts).
