Shipping and Returns

a. Orders are typically processed within 2 business days.

b. Deliveries that are not able to be fulfilled within 10 business days from the time of order placement will be advised of such within 3 business days of order placement with a timeline for when the order will be delivered. The customer will be given the option to continue with the order or to cancel the order without penalty and a refund will be provided using the same payment method as product was purchased with.

c. We ship within Canada only. We typically ship via Canada Post and at times with Purolator or UPS. In the event your order was placed online, you should receive a tracking number so you can track where your shipment is. Delivery service may require a person to sign for your package. If no person is available to sign for the package, it will be offloaded at a Canada Post branch or courier’s depot and will be your responsibility to pick up the package from the depot.  Note that at times Canada Post does not attempt delivery to final address and pickup is required at a Canada Post branch. The shipping address contact listed on the order may be required to sign for the shipment with photo identification at the time of delivery to verify identity and receive delivery. When you, the customer, authorizes no signature delivery at your shipping address, all responsibility for missing items shall reside with you, the customer, who designated such delivery. Items may be left at your doorstep by the carrier - customer should ensure that the address provided for delivery is attended to by a person that can receive the delivery.

d. Discrepancy in box count quantities or visible damage to boxes must be reported to the driver at the time of delivery and driver paperwork must be completed by the customer, which must be done and submitted to the driver.

e. Visible damage to boxes upon delivery must be reported to the driver at the time of delivery and driver paperwork must be completed by the customer, which must be done and submitted to the delivery driver. Take photos of the damaged product and paperwork and submit to seller.

f. Damage to product that is not visible upon delivery and only visible after the outer box was opened must be reported to [email protected] within 3 business days of the delivery occurring. Please keep a copy of all damaged goods paperwork for your records and make it available to the shipper and seller upon request.

Returns
a. Returns must be initiated within 10 days of receipt of the item.

b. Contact seller for a return goods authorization number by emailing [email protected] with the order number in the subject line, the reason for return (options: the wrong item was sent, missing parts or accessories, product arrived damaged, received an extra item I didn’t buy, I changed my mind or no longer require the product and the box is unopened, I changed mind or no longer require product and the box was opened).

c. Refunds will be available for unused and unopen product provided that the return process is initiated within 10 days of receipt of product.

d. Restocking fee applicable of 20% for unopen boxes that are in salable condition. Cost of return shipment is at purchasers expense.

e. Open boxes may be returned in very limited circumstances (example: shipper error from sender). To qualify for any other return of open box, the product will need to be tested to confirm that it was not connected to power or used in any manner. An additional testing fee will be applicable of 30% for an inspection of an open box returned product. Refunds, if any, will be processed after the inspection of product. Notwithstanding, the seller reserves the right to not accept an open box return in the seller's discretion.

f. No refund will be issued for products that have been in any way used, or drilled, or connected to electrical circuits.

g. Any claim of defective product must be reported to technical support to first trouble shoot. Photos of the Simple Switch device wiring, the connected appliance wiring, the electrical panel and connected breakers, must be submitted to [email protected] where our technical team will assess the situation. Technical support may issue replacement product in certain circumstances. No replacement product will be issued due to improper installation or failure to follow the installation instructions completely and in sequence.

 

Product Warranty & Process

a. The manufacturer will provide a warranty direct to the customer who purchased the product. Product is warranted against defects in material or parts for a period of 2 years from the time of purchase. If at the time of claim the purchaser cannot provide a copy of the original sales receipt, the warranty period shall then be deemed to have commenced 30 days after the date of manufacture as indicated on the product.

b. Any claim of defective product must be reported to Simple Switch or Manufacture's technical support to attempt various trouble-shooting with the installing electrician (or designate) present at the home or building where the device was installed, with proper electrical testing equipment.

c. Appointments with technical support require a minimum of 1 full business day and are subject to availability.

d. Customer to submit photos showing the: Simple Switch's wiring, connected appliance's wiring, electrical panel and connected breaker(s). Photo must be submitted to [email protected]

e. Our technical team will assess the situation. Technical support may authorize and issue replacement product in certain circumstances.

f. No replacement product will be issued due to improper installation or failure to follow the installation instructions completely and in sequence.

g. In the event that a licensed installing electrician mis-wires or accidentally damages the Simple Switch during installation, a replacement device may be provided at a discounted rate at the  sole discretion of Simple Switch.

i. Customer will be responsible for the removal and return including shipping costs of any product alleged or deemed defective or malfunctioning to Simple Switch Canada, for inspection and testing.

j. Products alleged as defective or malfunctioning will be inspected and be determined, in Simple Switch Canada or the manufacturer's discretion, whether the product and circumstances qualify for a replacement product.  If all warranty conditions are satisfied the customer will be provided a replacement product.

k. Any parts returned to Simple Switch Canada or the manufacturer will become the property of the respective party and will not be returned, even if credit is denied.

l. It is expressly agreed by the customer as a term and condition of the purchase that repair, replacement, or refund are the exclusive remedies of the customer.

 

Legal Notice

All notices from Simple Switch Canada to You may be posted on our Web site and will be deemed delivered within thirty (30) days after posting. Notices from You to Simple Switch Canada shall be made either by email to [email protected] or regular mail, sent to the address we provide on our Web site.
Delivery shall be deemed to have been made by You to Simple Switch Canada five (5) days after the date sent.

Shipping and Delivery

At this time, Simple Switch Canada ships merchandise to Canada only.

The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.

In the event you require insurance on your shipment you may contact Simple Switch Canada to make special arrangements for delivery of merchandise with insurance added. In such case a separate order must be placed directly over the phone and not through this website.

International

Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details.

Shipping laws are different in each country. It is your responsibility to check with your Customs office to verify whether the country to which you are shipping permits the shipment of your products. Simple Switch Canada is not responsible for any direct, indirect, punitive, or consequential damages that arise from improper international shipping practices.

Sales Tax

Simple Switch Canada charges federal Canadian sales tax GST on all merchandise ordered from this Web site shipped within Canada.  Provincial sales tax rates vary.  Provincial tax is charged in some cases based on the location to which the order is being shipped. In the event of an error in the assessment or collection of provincial sales tax by Simple Switch Canada or this Web site, please bring the matter to the attention of Simple Switch Canada immediately.  You are responsible for payment of provincial taxes in your province of delivery in the event the tax collected by Simple Switch Canada is insufficient and you did not notify Simple Switch Canada.
